Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

If i am two months away from being 18 years old, can i chose to move in with my mother instead of living with my aunt who i have been living with for the past couple years? My mother wasn't stable enough to provide for me after my dad died so my aunt did but she has her own apartment now and could provide for me even though by age 18 I will be considered an adult. I want to move in with my mother because i am very unhappy where i am. And tonight made everything hard because my aunts never hit me and slapped me across the face tonight because she can go crazy at times and i refuse to live here anymore.

You do not indicate whether there was ever a custody order which gave your aunt primary custody. if there is no order then I would think the prudent thing to do would be to move where you feel safe. you should not have to face physical abuse from a unstable person.
