Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My wife was in an accident and is in a nursing home. Her father has plenary/legal guardianship. Her stepmother brought an action against me for spousal support. NOT HER FATHER. Does the stepmother have standing to bring forth any action without being named as the guardian?

What county are you in? Possible question--is she named as guardian WITH her husband? HAS SHE SUPPLIED NECESSARIES? She MAY have standing. You should at least consult an attorney. I am terribly sorry to hear about her condition.

Was there a third party responsible for the accident? There may be a personal injury claim. HOW LONG AGO DID THE ACCIDENT OCCUR and where?
