Joint assets at stake?

If a husband & wife are joint owners of all marital property (including vehicles), and one spouse has an automobile accident while driving intoxicated and hurts or kills someone, are all of the joint assets at stake? Can the couple be sued jointly for all joint assets?

Pa has long ago gotten rid of the fiction that a spouse is on the errand of the other. Accordingly if one spouse is responsible for an accident, the other is not to blame. Entirity property cannot be split up to pay a debt of only one spouse.
