Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Repossesion of personal property

There is a judgement against me for a car repo. I offered a monthly fee and they refused it, wanted more than I could pay. Now they say they are going to take all my personal belongings. I own nothing, what we have my husband bought. Can they take his things??

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

Re: Repossesion of personal property

In Pennsylvania a judgment against one spouse is not a lien against property owned jointly with the other spouse(tenants by entirety property) or property owned by the other spouse. However, you must file a claim in the event of a levy. I suggest you obtain the services of legal to assist you. Gerald Hershenson Esq. 215-579-9390
