Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

demotion

I work at a church and they want to demote me and can give no reason why they want to do this. I have not been insobordinate or missed alot of work I work over time for free and have given them four years of service. I have asked them to give me specifics and they have not been able to do this do they have to have a paper trail and can I see my personal file I think I have a right to see my files

You do have a right to see your employment file. On the other hand, if they haven't done so for a prohibited purpose (race, gender marital status) they can demote you at will.
