Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Free will employment

I am doing a research paper on freewill employment in Pa. for my Political Science Class at Gwynedd. I understand it is one of the few states which still use this law. My problem is that I can find no research material on it. I would welcome any information. If possible I would like to know - what it is exactly, how many other states have it, why it exists, is there a way to fight it? How does it work, to whose benefit - Any pointers on research sites or your own input would be greatly appreciated!
