My landlord just died and my apartment is now part of her estate. My lease renewed intself in June for another year, but can I be evicted now that the property is part of her estate?

Re: My landlord just died

The short answer is no. The estate now "owns" the property until its given to whoever is to inherit it. However, it comes with all its encumbrances like the mortgage and your lease. They have to honor the lease just like the owner who died. The owners death should not affect your lease unless the lease says otherwise. Which it probably does not.
