Can the landlord evict if?
My boyfriend and I signed a lease, for our apartment. My boyfriend is on parole. His parole officer said they have to inform the landlord that he is a parolee(not a sex offender). Once the landlord found out about this he states he doesnt want my boyfriend to live there. However, nothing in our application or lease states any thing regarding having a conviction. Can he kick us out? Isn't this discrimination, since their was no prior mention or stipulation regarding this?

If you have a lease, you cannot be evicted for being on parole. A strongly worded letter from a lawyer just might do the trick.

Your lease is a contract which both you, and your landlord, must honor. If it is signed by both you and landlord, it is binding. Landlord cannot evict for being on parole. I have no idea why the parole officer insisted that the landlord be told this. That doesn't seem right either. Have an attorney write a letter to the landlord.

Seek legal representation immediately or even though your landlord should not be able to evict you he will try...the longer you wait the worse the situation will become!
