Look, your girlfriend cannot "evict" you (and what in the world do mean she is the head of household, that is a tax term of art which is irrelevant here)- that is a remedy reserved for the landlord. She can ask you to leave and you can voluntarily do so, but if your name is on the lease, you will remain liable. Tell her that you will leave (which I wholeheartedly reccommend you do)when she obtains a release from the landlord of all or your obligations and a return of any security deposit you put up. That should buy you enough time to find a new place to live. The problem is she has other remedies like a protection from abuse order or simply calling the cops and alledging you abuse her. If she does either of these things you will in essence be evicted and not have the opportunity to negotiate for the release from the lease. If you are able to get yourself out of this with your skin consider yourself lucky and don't do it again.

"my name is on the lease but she is head of household," who designated her this...put some pants on and hold your ground, if she wants you out first contact your landlord to see if you can assign your responsibilies to her in full, without an assignment you will still be held responsible for any and all rental payments to the property. Contact my office for more information.
