Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Can I get A Settlement

I have been awaiting a response to an auto accident involving a township vehicle from another state. Now the township vehicle had rearended me and had admitted fault to the officer who took the report. According to their insurance comapny they are protected by Title 59. However since this had happened out of their own state and they admitted fault shouldn't they be responsible?

Re: Can I get A Settlement

Title 59 is a New Jersey statute that provides immunity to local government employees in certain instances. There are rigorous notice provisions in that law. If you have been involved in an auto accident with a municipal vehicle, then you must act quickly in order to preserve your rights to sue in court.

Also, there may be an issue concerning whether you elected a "limited tort" option with your auto insurance coverage.
