Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Problem neighbors

My husband and I own our home. The house next door is a rented duplex. The landlord rents to very unsavory people. We always have to put up with loud noises, people parking in our driveway, and children coming into our yard, bothering our dog, and tearing up our landscaping. Talking to them does no good. What recourse do we have against the people that live there, or the owner of the house?

Re: Problem neighbors

You have described a very difficult situation. I suggest you meet with the Landlord-Owner to discuss your concerns. If you have already met with him and not seen a solution, then I suggest you consult with an attorney. The only real solution is for you to move to another neighborhood or buy the property and control the rentals. All other solutions will create more problems. If I can be of any assistance please call. Gerald Hershenson Esq. 215-579-9390
