Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

Is it a law to carry workers compensation on employees? I was involved in a accident on the job and found out that there was no WC insurance coverage.

Pennsylvania law requires all employers to have workers compensation insurance. Failure to carry that insurance is a criminal offense.

Fortunately for you, there is an uninsured guaranty fund that pays benefits to workers injured at emplployers who have no insurance. Please contact my office today and I can offer you a free consultation detailing how the Fund works and what you need to do. My phone number is 610-279-4300

Yes, the law does require all employers to carry work comp coverage. But the "penalty" for failure to carry insurance doesn't affect you. Fortunately, there is a guarantee fund that, as far as you're concerned, stands in the shoes of your employer and pays for your medical treatment and wage loss. You should give serious consideration to hiring an experienced work comp atty. The fee is only 20%, collectable from your share only if you win. If you don't hire an atty, you will get "out-lawyered". Feel free to call and discuss. Thank you.
