Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

getting paid for follow up Dr. appointments

I was injured at work and have been unable to get paid for time i've missed from work for follow up Dr. appointments. I was told I must take my own paid time off benefits in order to get paid.

You're entitled to wage benefits after you miss 5 work days. Please call me (1 866 AUTOCRASH) if you want to discuss further.

Re: getting paid for follow up Dr. appointments

Once you have been out of work for 7 days, they must compensate you for days 8-14. Once you have been out more than 14 days, they must pay you back to day 1. You are entitled to 2/3 your pre-injury average weekly wage. This calculation can be tricky and i recommend that you obtain counsel as soon as possible so that it can be properly calculated. otherwise, you are relying on the accuracy of the insurance company. Please feel free to contact my office to discuss this further.
