how long should i give my lawyer to settle a claim

i have been in two auto accidents. my attorney is handling them. i have not gotten a settlement on either which both has been closed for several months. how can i get my attorney to settle with the insurance companies that are involved?

Tell him to settle in writing and accept the consequences of that settlement. You may not have a case, which is why you haven't heard anything. Pick up the phone and make an appointment.
