Legal Question in Military Law in South Carolina

United States Marine Coprs Other Than Honorable Discharge

My DD293 request for upgrade for service discharge got denied by the Naval Council Of Personnel boards in Washington DC. I have since submitted a DD149 Application For Correction Of Naval Records with supporting documents. If this form is also denied, what options are left after fourteen years to try an upgrade service discharge. Was an E-4 with 4.8/4.8 pro/con marks and a Navy Achievment Medal. OTH resulted from one time positive urinalysis for marijuana. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and duely noted.

There is an appellate procedure to appeal the initial denial upgrade. This should be done by an attorney who is experienced in administrative appellate procedures. It is not a simple process and can be relatively expensive for the individual.

There are a number of attys in the DC area who can handle this should you decide to proceed.

Good luck!
