Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas
Questionable Death in Texas
My son was found hanging in the chain of a swing set in a public park on Feb. 16, 2006.
Cause of Death: Red-purple parenchyma with pulmonary edema.
Manner of Death: Death by Hanging
Suicide
I spoke with Dr. Reade Quinton, Medical Examiner/Dallas, and he told me he initially ruled the death as Undetermined, but because of a report sent by a now resigned detective, he changed the ruling to suicide.
He also told me there was no evidence of strangulation.
According to the autopsy, there is no damage to the neck area.
I have asked for a formal inquest, as I believe that an altercation took place with police, excessive force was used, and the death was covered up by placing him in the chain.
The chief refuses to answer my questions, only saying, ''I'm not talking about it.''
When I ask which officer saw my son in the park @ 1AM, the chief says, ''I can't remember.''
I know my son did not take his own life, but what do I do to prove it?
I no longer live in McGregor, as the chief ''suggested'' that I relocate.
