I am a contractor that is owed money. If I sue to get my money, can I also sue for interest and other expenses?

Do you have a written contract? If so, and it provides for interest, attorney fees and other costs, then you can include those costs. Once you obtain a judgment, you will be awarded interest on the judgment until it is paid.
