Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

In 2007 my my tax preparer, did something wrong, now, Internal Revenue investagator came to my job and summon me to come to there office to talk to them. is this legal

I do not know anything which would prevent him from going to your job.

I would be very careful before I speak to an IRS investigator though. I believe that if you do not tell the absolute truth they can charge you with a crime; that would probably be obstructing justice.

If you can afford an attorney I would advise that you hire one and/or consult with one before you talk to him.

If you cannot afford an attorney; given the active prosecution of people who lie to investigators; I could not advise you to talk to him. (Research Martha Stewart or Gov. Blagovich)
