Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

my son is on probation has completed about half of his time continues to make poor choices, has been given the chance to join the service but has to be released from his probation for justice or time serverd. we would like to present this to the judge ourselves but have been told that we will need to make sure we file the correct papers with the court, can forms like that be found on line?

Not that I know of.

However, if the forms were available it is still very difficult for a person to sell their case to the court with credibility. It is difficult to say, "Yes, I am a good guy; and yes my intentions are good." It is easier for an advocate-lawyer to say that for you.

You are not entitled to a court appointed lawyer for an early termination of probation, so you have no choice but to look for one on line if you cannot afford an attorney.

You state that your son, "continues to make bad choices." If your son has had motions to revoke his probation filed before; or is not bad up on his fine, court costs, and probation fees, it may be very difficult to have an early termination granted by the judge.

Unfortunately, you appear to be in Amarillo; quite a distance from where I practice.

I would charge $2,600.00 for one court appearance in the Amarillo area in an attempt to have the motion granted. I would have to charge additional fees, in the unlikely event a second court appearance by me is necessary.

I would advise you to contact local attorneys for a possibly cheaper price.
