Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex-girlfriend is due in September. She wants to put the baby up for adoption as I do not. I want to raise my child. How can I prevent adoption and get full custody of my child after birth?

Before the baby is born you can file a document with the State of Texas stating that you think you are going to be the bio father of a baby about to be born. Normally to terminate a man's parental rights this search must be done. If you file this document, then it puts the world on notice to contact you. I cannot remember the name of this document. I'm sorry that I also cannot remember the name of the govenrment agency assigned to handle these forms. I think it is free or very little money to file this document.

And, you need to find an attorney NOW to file paternity once the child is born. Look on this website & on www.avvo.com for an attorney. They are the 2 best free websites that I know of currently.

I hope this info helps.
