Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Need to know process for getting a divorce when you have no idea where spouse is. I have not seen or heard from spouse since October of 2001.

You file the petition, and allege in it that you don't know where your spouse is. You serve him by publication. At the final hearing, the court will appoint an attorney ad litem to represent the absent parent.

It's not much more complicated than an ordinary divorce.
