Statue of limitation to sue repair company

I want to sue an AC repair company that failed to repair my AC in 2000 but charged me for it anyway. Is it too late to do so in 2003?

Re: Statue of limitation to sue repair company

It is probably not too late for some claims as a matter of law, in that the statute of limitations for breaches of contract is four years. As a practical matter, however, suit three years after a breach is going to present some real proof problems, so I would evaluate it critically to see if it is worth the time and expense when balanced against the likelihood of prevailing, the amount of any prospective recovery and the probable difficulties of collection on any judgment.
