Every case is unique and experienced attorneys generally factor three things into the analysis, 1. Liability 2. Damages and 3. Insurance. If the responsibility for the accident is clear, and the wreck resulted in a big impact (a lot of property damage), the focus would be on the damages. Attorneys study the medical records closely because what the treating Drs say is pretty good evidence and has a big impact on the case. With big rigs accidents in Texas there is no hard and fast rule on what a case is worth. Who the medical providers are, objective findings, dates of treatment, total "paid or incurred" medical and real odds of future surgery are all factors to consider.

In short, without knowing all the facts and studying the records closely, any number would be a non educated guess. Finally, do not kid yourself, an insurance company will not treat someone without a reputable attorney the same way they do without one. It is usually when the adjuster first mentions money that the truck wreck victim understands they need a great attorney.

Without an attorney in this type of case you have real trouble ahead. Chose one who you trust and he will investigate. apply the important provisions from the FMCSA and the TXMCSA , get the Ds insurance policies and the medical records, circumvent the liens to keep from paying exhorbitant rates and secure her a fair recovery. Call me if I can help.
