transfer of property without benefit of executor

My parents are both dead, they did not leave a will. I paid their mortgage off on the property, and i want to put it in the grandkids name. is that possible? and how do I go about it?

Your best bet is to consult with a probate lawyer. The answer to your question depends upon how many living children your parents have, which determines how much each inherits in the absence of a will.

Also, there may be ways to avoid expensive probate if they had no other substantial property.
