Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Utah

a section of fence around our swimming pool blew down in a bad storm. Our pool has a secure cover which can only be opened with a key, which we keep inside our home. HOw much time to we have to replace the fence according to law. Is securing some kind of plastic screening, as used around construction areas sufficient until spring?

You need to check into the Bountiful City (or the city where you're located) ordinances to see if there is an ordinance that is applicable. The planning and zoning office people should be able to help you out. If there is an applicable ordinance you need to comply with that. If there isn't any applicable ordinance then it's up to you to decide what your risk tolerance is as to how long you can wait to replace the fence (whether there is an applicable ordinance or not you may wish to get the fence repaired sooner rather than later to lessen risk).

Good wishes.
