Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia

damaged hair

Back in November I purchase a wig from a stylist in the amount of $600.00. The sylist applied the wig to my head in the early part of December. On December the 23rd, I went back to the stylist to get the wig washed and reapplied. After the sylist wash the wig it turned out looking like a mop that had been used for years. The sylist stated to me she had improperly washed the wig and that's what cause the wig to tangle. She then stated she would purchase me another one. This resulted in me having to leave the shop wearing my natural hair. The next day the stylist call and I advised the stylist I didn't feel as though the hair was of good quality because of the way it turned out. At that point I ask being that she was going to use her funds to purchase another wig if I could just have a refund. She wanted to know why I wanted a refund and I explained it to her, but she never did answer the question. This story is longer buy I an running out of characters. Can I take her to court?

Yes, small claims court for the cost of filing your case (around $47 plus $12 for the local Sheriff for serving the papers on the defendant).
