$600 Grand Larceny Charge with a prior Petty Larceny Charge in VA

I'm 23 years old and about 3 months ago was charged with $600 Grand Larceny Charge. I'm being charged with improper procedure as a manager with a clothing company that is very well known. I'm being charged with doing false returns in exchange for the cash. I was cornered into the situation of my signature on several transactions in which I thought I was signing saying that they were my employee number, not that it was a transaction I performed. I also filled out a statement saying what I was being charged with up to $600. However, when speaking with the LP officer I told him the amount was not that high, but lower, he said in research he would find that out. I do have a prior Petty Larceny charge over a year ago on my record. However, was in a group of people then. I was wondering what my possible outcome could be and if I could have it reduced to a misdemeanor and if it's possible to have a fine and jail time suspended over a period of 1 year? I go to court today but spoke with my lawyer yest. for a lengthy amount of time. He said I'm facing a harsh judge and a pretty experienced prosecuting attorney who has been with the company for over 30 years. Any imput would be welcome. Thanks!

Listen to your lawyer and follow his or her instructions or promptings with respect to all of these issues. (The prosecuting attorney, however, would be an employee of the local office of commonwealth's attorney and not the company from which you allegedly stole.)
