Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I need to file a subpoena duces tecum on a registered agent for a virginia child support review. The corporation purged in 1986 and is no longer a corp. in Va. However their home office is in Hanover, Pa, and I called Pa and they gave me the corp's registered agent's info in pennsylvania. It is a process server company.

Here's my question, I will be doing this on my own, so when i fill out the paperwork will I be billed for the subpoena, and if so by who? Also, will the court in Va. send it directly to the registered agent?

Yes, the Virginia Court having the order should send the SDT directly to the registered agent at no cost to you. If not, however, then you may have to hire a process server in Pennsylvania to serve the registered agent in that state for which you will have to pay.
