My employer is refusing to pay my wages. Wondering about the most appropriate and fastest ways to receive compensation.

Depending on how long it has been since you were paid, and how much is owed, I would either write a letter explaining the law and demanding payment, or go straight to a lawsuit. In some cases for unpaid wages, the employee is awarded double the amount of unpaid wages and the amount of attorney's fees.
