Legal Question in Business Law in West Virginia
dba to llc
My boyfriends father currently owns his business and he wants to start his own llc with the same name...Is this possible?? Does his father just sign over the assets under the current dba???

It is not uncommon for a business owner to form an LLC or Corporation and transfer assets of the business to the new entity. The process should involve an accountant and lawyer to make sure that the transaction is smooth. There are too many variables to try to give a checklist in this forum.
