Ann Nguyen

Ann N. Nguyen, Esq. earned her Bachelors of Arts in Business Economics Accounting in an ambitious three years from the University of California at Santa Barbara and earned her Juris Doctorate from the prestigious private law school of the University of LaVerne College of Law, where she was the President and Founding Member of the University of LaVerne College of Law Chapter of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and was a elected Student Bar Association Board Officer. Nguyen is a MBA, CPA, and California Broker's License candidate. Nguyen also attended the University of Technology at Sydney's Law School Program in Sydney, Australia with a emphasis on the topics of intellectual property, bioethics, social policy, Australian constitutional law with special attention to privacy issues and international biodiversity protocols, patent law, biomedical topics of surrogacy, access to reproductive technology, and the politics of sexuality in medicine and law, intellectual property law particularly as it relates to patent protection of processes and products of biotechnology as well as methods of treatment of the human body, law and technology, including those arising from the role of the internet, data protection, and cyber crime. Nguyen has gained numerous professional experiences in various areas of law, in numerous sectors, including In House Counsel for Coca Cola, the San Francisco County Public Defender�s Office, the San Bernardino County Public Defender's Office, and the Los Angeles Superior Court. After law school, Nguyen worked for a prestigious law firm in Northern California specializing in Intellectual Property, Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Employment Law. Currently, Nguyen is a board officer of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California and a member of the American Bar Association, California Bar Association, Volunteer Legal Services Program, the Women Defenders, the San Francisco County Bar Association, Santa Clara County and the Alameda County Bar Association. Nguyen was also the co-chair of the 2008 National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys (NCVAA) in San Francisco where hundreds of Vietnamese American attorneys all over the world attended.
