Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

I have 2 and half year old daughter and got her birth certificate with her name. Now my problem is I want to change her name and want to take pass port for her with new name. Birth certificate is the only legal paper where we have her name. Please tell me the legal procedure to change her name. Thank you.

Possible. You should first make an affidavit for name change as per form D of passport department. Then give the advertisement of change of name in two local newspaper. While applying for passport, you have to submit both these papers. For any problem

you can move an application before the authorities and they will allow you the change in the name.
