Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
Sir,l am a60 years old woman having two unmarried daughters of 36&34;.my husband died some months ago. In 1975 ,when my in-laws families were going through a very tough period, l gave my ornaments to help them and they gave me a rukka for that and promised to give them back but now when l am facing a hardship they refused to give. Now how can l get my stridhan back?

you should lodge a police complaint and if the police does not investigate the matter, you can file a complaint in the ourt of the Magistrate u/s 156(3) of CrPC. Apart from that you can file a money suit to recover your sum. Do u have any proof?
