Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I had defaulted icici bank credit card payment due to financial probles when due was 40000/- 3 years back now with interest it went uprs1lak.Recently they came to know about my work place where I am working and contacted them.But they gave my present residential address not any kind of deduction.I am getting a salary of rs25000/- which is hand to mouth for my family.

Now icici bank has sent legal notice through courier which was not recived by family since it is lawyer notice.Kindly advise me whether to take legar notice sent through courier or not .In fact I want to avoid this courier stating concerned person is not available.Kidnly advise me..what kind of implication if I do like this legally.

avoiding an issue will not help .Accept the legal notice and get them to allow you to repay in installments. if you avoid the notice they will get an exparte order and please remember that the intrest on the amount will increase everyday.
