Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

I am 30 year old working girl living alone and I am single in bangalore. I stay in an apartment and have my cousins and brothers visiting me. I have been staying in the same place for past 4 years have not been having any problems with any of the tenants. However there is a old lady who is staying in the apartment for and is constantly harrasing me by accusing me that I am running prostitution in my apartment which is not true. Which can be verified with any of the other neighbors. After this I tried talking to the ladies daughter who is staying separately in bangalore itself. However instead of understanding my concerns she started yelling at me. Then I also brought to the notice of our apartment owner. But that ladies daughter has gone to my fiances house and told his parents that I am a prostitute and used filthy language about me. And is going on telling the lies to everybody in my apartment. However due to this I am unable to concentrate on my work I am being harrased as my character has been assassinated. I sometimes go into depression and not able to face the other society members. Kindly advice if there is any legal course of action I can take in this regard
