Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
When i was working in one public sector bank, due to foolishness,i have used one lakh, and i dont know the consequences. at the time of resigning to the bank i have revealed the fact and given letter in own hand writing and paid back money with interest and joined in other govt job. but ipc409 was filed by bank and it is in trial. if i admit the same in court whether i will be excused, or i need to defend myself by telling lies.
but they have evidence.if i am convicted what will be punishment? just fine or imprisonment also? i am worried about my future.please answer.

Once a criminal matter is filed, you need to defend the same in consultation with your lawyer.
Maximum punishment is life imprisonment.
