Hi
I have been living separately from my husband since last 6 months We have a 2 year old daughter who lives with me Our marriage is not registered I would like to know if it is mandatory to file a divorce I have plans in future to move to US for work and intend to take my daughter with me

1) If u want legal separation, u must obtain divorce decree.
Otherwise u continue to be wife and husband though u live separately.
2) For Passport u hv to file Annexure-C if husband does not sign.
