Legal Question in Family Law in India

Sir I was married to a police man in the year December 2000. I took divorce on mutual understanding in the year august 2014. I have no kids out of this marriage. My husband wanted to remarry me by the time I would have taken decision for the same he expired on 4th of January this year of jaundice and lever failure as he was a routine alcoholic. He didn't produce documents of our divorce in his service record. Do I have any right to claim over his final settlement of provident fund and the other benefits after him. My brother in law has raised objection over my rights and he demanded everything for his son. My mother in law has already expired, and my husband got this job after his father expired on duty. All his brother and sisters are Married. My name and photograph is still there in his service record, means I m still the nominee.
