Legal Question in Family Law in India
There has been more than seven years of our marriage. Last month my wife committed suicide by taking poison. Now her parent filed a case against me and my family for dowry death which police has registered. My wife also left a suicide note mentioning that me and my family is responsible for her death because of dowry harassment.
I am Indian, and wanted your advice whether this case (dowry death) has any justified reasoning after seven years of marriage or if this is a valid case then please cite me some examples.
Many thanks in advance.

See, the presumption of dowry death after 7 years is not so strong in general. But, since the deceased has left a suicide, that could be a vital proof to lend u in trouble. A charge of abatement of suicide will run against you. There are citations but your facts will decide what citation could help you.

Dear Sir,
The presumption of Death due to Dowry demand in the presence of suicide note is against you and therefore, it is advisable to get anticipatory bail first.
