Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
We are a registered Pvt. Ltd company who had signed a rent deed of 3 years with IT service provider (Building owner).
However we decided to vacate at the end of 2 years and have now moved to a different location.
Our old office has been rented out to some other company as per our sources.
Does the old tenant have any grounds to file a civil suit against non payment of rent for the rest of the leased out time i.e. till March 2018.

It is owner of the premises only who can claim rent depending on terms of rent agreement. Since there is no relation between old tenant hence such tenant cannot claim such rent. Sidharth 9811776422
