How to get Family Survival Certificate in Bangalore? Whats the Procedure and How many days it takes for the certificate ?

I have getting the Job in a govt Office that as my father has passed away as he was working in the department i am getting the job since my mother is uneducated and she doesn't have male children. They are asking me to get this certificate Please give me the procedures

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should obtain the Family Succession Certificate by applying to the District Magistrate Court in Bengaluru which is normally issued within 3 months from the date of application. You can cite the job urgency requesting them to issue it earlier.
