Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hi everyone. I need an advise on an issue. I am a married man staying with my family and mother in my fathers house. I have a brother and a sister. We have couple of more properties. My father had this old flat in which we stay. He bought this flat long back thorough his job earnings. This flat and the building went under redevelopment and during that time my father suddenly expired. We made an affidavit after his death, took signatures from my mother, sister and brother. As it was my fathers wish that I be given this flat, everyone agreed at that time. Society accepted the affidavit but the building was under redevelopment. 2 years back we moved in to this house which is now a bigger house. Now my sister is threatening me that she needs her 1/4 share in this flat. My mother is alive and stays with me in the same flat. What should I do? Kindly advise.

Dear Sir / Madam,

If the Society has already transferred the flat in your name based on the Affidavit granting No Objection by all the other legal surviving heirs to the transfer, you do not need to do anything else. But as a moral gesture, you must financially compensate your sister in whatever way possible over a period of time, so that she does not rake any unnecessary unwanted issues against you,

Regards,
