What is the logic behind period of 13 years for legal clearance of any property. Why the period is not periods like 5 years, 10 years etc

It's actually 12+ 18 =30 years, one has to take the search for the title.18 for minor getting major as minor cannot sue,12 years is limitation for factum of possession.
