Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I , the seller of a land had a 30 feets land.Within that 30 feets ,i have sold 11 feet to a buyer and for the rest of 19 feets the same buyer gave me advance of 1 postdated cheque amounting to Rs.2,50,000 and Rs.2,00,000 cash and gave me time of next 70 daysto give me rest of the amount(neither any written agreement had been done regarding this nor any deed had been prepared, everything was in verbal). Now after some days I sold the same 19 feets of my property to another buyer.I just wanted to know what will happen to that postdated cheque(not yet deposited) and will there be any legal prosecution against me.Please give me detail answer.
