Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
Thursday we signed a sales agreementfor $ 3500 to become a member of Direct Buy. Friday we became skeptical of their services and wanted to cancel our agreement with them. We thought we had a 3 day right of rescission, but they said it didn't apply to them. Is there any way we can cancel the sales membership contract with Direct Buy? Thank you

Alabama does have a statutory law of a 3 day " cooling off" period for home solicitation sales. This law only applies to sales that are conducted at your home. Therefore, in your situation you would have to look to your contract with Direct Buy to determine if they provided for a similar provisions. Ordinarily, such contracts do not.
