Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
Auto Lease
On Friday, Sept. 2nd, I signed a lease agreement for a 2005 Honda Accord. At the time I asked if my credit had been approved and the dealer said that they have looked over my credit and there will not be a problem. Today, Sept. 8th, they have called and said that I have not been approved for the total amount of the car. They want my wife to co-sign with me on the lease. I nor my wife want to have her on the lease. Here is my question; since we have signed all of the lease agreements, made the title changes, and made the tag changes, can they come and take the car. Everything has been agreed upon and they never mentioned anything about credit pending. Also, they did not videotape the signing of the paperwork. I signed the paperwork with the car sales manager at a salesmans desk. Are they stuck with the lease agreement that we signed?
