Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama
Misleading offer
i recieved a check from mbna for 17,000 dollars. mbna stated it was a line of credit that i qualified for. and i cpuld cash it and do whatever i wanted with the checks.
so i deposited the check in my bank account and waited the 5 days for it to clear. once it cleared i consolidated some bills with the money.
about 2 days later i recieved a call from my bank fraud section stating that mbna did not honor the check. so they locked up all of my accounts until i was able to repay the money. i called mbna and they gave me the run around and sent me two different answers i informed them that there was no requirements sent with the checks and they have caused me a lot of stress and financial difficulty, trying to pay back this money. do i have a cause of action against
mbna.

Re: Misleading offer
Do you have copies of the offer? Many times they have disclaimers in fine print at the bottom or with an asterisk on the back. I'd like to see it and maybe discuss it with you.
