Monetary judgement awarded againstme. i can't pay. what now?

my mother sued me for $25,000 in civil court and won. i do not have the money to pay. my husband is self employed and i help him, although not as an employee, therefore there are no wages to garnish. what can happen to us and/or our property if we do not pay?

She could file an execution against your property. She could seize your property (house, car, etc) and sell it to satisfy the judgment. You have the right to claim exemptions against the judgment.
