Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama
My wife has been served with a summons on a small claims case for a credit card and i was wondering if i could get a stay on the case until my bankruptcy goes through. i wont be able to pay my lawyer until the end of february so i need a stay on the case until then.

You should contact YOUR bankruptcy attorney about this. You can always DENY the debt and that should give you more time while the trial date is set. She MUST answer the complaint or she will lose by default.
