Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama
S.S. disabitity/ child support
When attempting to get child suppport, does the s.s disability amount the parent or child draws figure into the pay scale? For example:
Mother draws s.s. disability. Daughter lives with mother and draws a check also. Mother has to take child's father to court for child support. Father's lawyer states they think mother's disability amount that she draws figures into the pay scale. DA's office disagrees with lawyer and said it don't. Lawyer is allowed to reschedule court date till she can it look up for herself. Does it (s.s. disability) figure into the pay scale?

Yes, it does. Money from any source is counted as income.
